What you have said is true, except that you've confused the word "silicone"
for "silicon", an easy thing to do. Teak has a high silicon content, and
silicon is an element similar to carbon. When silicon is combined with
other elements, it tends to form hard, durable substances like silicon
dioxide (sand) or silicon carbide (abrasives).
Silicone is a polymer substance used in sealants, rubbers, coatings, and
lubricants. Some furniture polishes have silicone, and this is what causes
fisheyes.
