TWL: Stainless steel holding tanks

One of the yachts I drive had a stainless steel (304?) holding tank until 2 months ago. The yacht, a reputable Swedish yacht, was only 10 years old yet the tank was seriously corroded and leaking from several places. The builder - Storebro - has an excellent reputation throughout Europe and has been in business for over 30 years, certainly not a low budget yard. Given the otherwise high quality of most other components/materials, I have to conclude stainless just doesn't work for holding tanks.
