Just to add fuel to the fire and because a lot of people are quoting Nigel
Calder, I was reading his book last night and happened on the Hose chapter
where he says, "Hose is by far the best material to use in a wet exhaust.
It is easy to run, helps to dampen exhaust noise and lasts for years if
properly installed"

I'm using hose in my new boat project...
