Don't forget MP3/USB hard drive combos! My Christmas present to myself was a
20 GB version, the Archos Jukebox 20. What a cool deal that thing is! My
current playlist sports over 1700 songs, the greatest radio station ever.
The whole drive is portable, battery powered, and is about the size of a
Walkman. I can play the music over my home, car, shop or (soon) boat
stereos, as well as portable headphones.
Apple puts out that new iPod thing, which IMO, is overpriced, undersized,
and too hardware specific. This unit was about $300+, but is absolutely
amazing as to its capability. But hey, I push the Random Play button, and
127 hours (and 8 GB) later, I have to choose what to play again. Not only is
it a great convenience, but imagine the space savings. And no crappy music,
boring disk jockeys or commercials!
No commercial interests, just a happy customer!
