John:
Our marina has slips for ca 400 boats, all doubles on finger-docks
(finger every second boat).
Because of unalterable geographical circumstances, however, there are
two slips that are for one boat only (fingers on both sides of the
boat). Scaramouche has one of those two slips heh – heh – heh!
Needless to the say, I pay my seasonal slip rent on time (Jan 1) to
assure getting the same berth year after year....
George of Scaramouche1, Lake Ontario, Canada
P.s: I'm a singlehander, my boat has a single right hand prop (walks
toward port in reverse) and the prevailing summer winds are from
starboard – but do I care? With fingers on both sides – what me
worry!
