I also agree about Peter's method of docking is interesting. I also have a left
hand prop which backs to starboard. I however, often dock port side to , so I
can use the starboard pull to back away. I was taught or told (old tug
operators) to always back
away from a dock. Noting all situations vary with wind and current etc. what
are other observations and techniques used?
