I was browsing on NDI site and found the following:

comprehensive demo included with each NDI digital oceanTM Canadian BSB CD

identify routes and tracks on your electronic charts. You can also upload
preplanned waypoints into your GPS unit. The FUGAWI demo software may also

I think what this means is that for the price of the chart package, you get
an ECS system.
I don't have a recent NDI CD so I haven't played with this.
