Yes, I am on AOL 7.0. And, yes, it suffers from the same HTML
problem that 6.0 has. Here's how I got around that.

Note that my return address on this email is a Yahoo account. I
moved all my boating lists to a free Yahoo account and made sure that
it transmitted only in text format. This solves two problems: It
makes all my inputs to the list acceptable (granted, not too many,
but it works) and secondly, it segregates my boating mail from my
personal mail on AOL. Every day I check my AOL email first, then go
to my Yahoo account and plow through the numerous messages there.

Some might worry about spam, etc. I receive more spam on my AOL
account than the Yahoo account. No viruses either location.
Although the Yahoo mail program is clunkier than AOL, it is quite
acceptable for this purpose.

Usual disclaimers apply.
