While I certainly understand the reason for this forum, it is important to
understand that without discussion of these ongoing problems, we won't have
a forum in which to discuss trawlers.
Your comment about reducing me to the level of terrorists is illogical and
demonstrates your lack of understanding of not only the situation, but those
with whom we are dealing.
For your information, we are not dealing with a nation of thinkers. I can't
even take issue with the Pakistani's that were dancing in the streets over
the fact that thousands of innocent people were massacred. They have been
brainwashed since birth.
Nations in the Middle East depend upon religious brainwashing. Even high
level American government officials insist that diplomatic means do not,
have not and will not work.
Further, if you really practiced what you preached, you wouldn't have made
the obviously uneducated remark you made.
I have the terrible habit of letting logic rule my life and not emotion.
External discipline is for animals, internal discipline is for the
intelligent. Those who do things, good or bad for some external good or
punishment are animals. Sit doggy...good boy, have a cookie.
It's easy to sit back and be gentle when it wasn't your daughter raped, or
your wife hijacked, or your son is watched dropping from the 99th floor of
the world trade center.
Remember, this is but one of several attempts on the US... remember,
Seattle, LA, World trade center in 93, Flight 800, and the USS Cole to name
a few. Have you ever held the severed head of another in your hands seconds
after the fact?
You are too removed my friend.
It was the lack of discussion by voters that allowed Congress to be relaxed
enough to stop our NSA from stopping this before it got started.
In any case, I hope my awful use of this forum for trawlers...a real
American concern...at least gets you to give blood and donate a few bucks to
help those EMT's and firefighters and policemen (over 200 now) that rushed
in to help those innocent victims only to have the south tower of the World
trade center fall on them.
The more we talk about this, the more chance we have of stopping
this...whichever forum we use.
In fact, in the interest of deterrence...do yourself a favor, see the film
"DETERRENCE"...not such a fantasy.
This is about trawlers, and our freedom to use them in relative safety as
visitors on this planet. If we don't stop this nonsense in the name of a
deity, we don't deserve to take the trip on this rock, as short as it may
be.
I sincerely apologize to all those that think this forum is above our day to
day problems of trying to survive.
