Lot of good stuff there. Since many of us have the household stuff and will
not be changing to the marine version, your comments about improving them
are well taken. I added insulation around three sides of my household
reefer on the boat, and I recently added a powerful fan that removes the
heat from the reefer to the engine room via flappers rather than add heat to
the cabin. Limited testing has shown greatly improved performance -
running from 800 watt inverter.
