Hi Terry,

I won't pretend to know anything about open array Radar systems. It seems to
me, however, that it would be useful to have a little more information. If
the array was making any strange sounds that might indicate either FOD or
some sort of bearing failure. If you noticed that ominous burnt insulation
smell the motor could be on its last legs. Is there any reason to suspect
that the power supply to the rotor could be compromised by a loose or
corroded connection or a damaged wire?

I'll sign off now and turn this over to folks who actually know things.

Diagnostically yours,

Alex
