Jim:
I saw a very nice Garmin in the West Marine store the other day. I plan to
buy it, but at this point I only bought the transducer, since we are now
ready to install the thru-hull transducer in the smallest of the three boats
we are building. Hope to launch this coming Friday. It has a fish finder
to 700 feet, with a 12 degree beam. It has a nice GPS built in, complete
with a GPS compass. If I had bought another transducer, I would also have
had speed through the water and water temperature. By the time I buy all
the accessories, I'll have about 1200 dollars invested in it.
