Subject: TWL: RE: internet communications?

Bill --
No magic answers unfortunately, but I have seen a lot of people using
"Pocketmail" (try www.pocketmail.com for info), and they seem to be happy. I
already have a cell phone and laptop, so a cell modem seemed to be slightly
more cost effective. I've tested it to insure it works, but that's it so
far. 4800 baud.
I want to get SSB and/or ham radio email going as well, but haven't gotten
very far on that yet.
I have no ideas on the posting issue -- I am copying this to the list, and
maybe someone there will reply to you.
Bill

Bill, saw your spam question. I have no answer for you but another
question.
I, too, will be cruising for a while starting next month and I am in the
process of selecting various communications equipment. What kind of
communicaitons do you use for your internet/email connection?
Sure wish I could only figure out how to post my questions directly to the
trawler world list. I am computer literate, but this one has me going
nuts!
My emails do not seem to get published although I have joined and been
confirmed.
Thanks,
Bill Patton
