I just did mine with waterpump grease removing the plugs and fitting
temporary nipples to do this. I was told that it was not safe to leave
the grease nipples in place since they could leak under pressure.
However I don't see this since there is no pressure unless the handle is
in the half way position approx.... am I right? Obviously it would be
more convenient to leave the nipples in place.
