That can't be the case. Consider - every propulsion diesel engine I've
encountered is fitted with these raw water pumps. In general they are
simple, reliable.

That type of pump is supposed to be very reliable. We have 3 of these 230V
centrifugal pumps with magnetic coupling: one for the Webasto hydronic heat,
two for Marine Air 16kbtu units.

Got that. We would have been into a hotel in a flash if A/C had crashed in
Brisbane :-)
