I've had them for the last 6 years. Get the Platinum model, works
great!

I am also curious about the "automatic pumps" This is Rule's explanation
of
how their automatic pumps operate copied from their website:

"Pump activates every 2-1/2 minutes, it runs for about one second and
senses for load (water) against the impeller. If there is load, the pump

stays on until the water is removed. If there is no load, the pump
immediately shuts down"

When they first came out with these at least 10 years ago I thought it
was
a really stupid idea. But I must say that they have hung in there with
this
design. Can anyone tell me why this is better or has anyone had good
experience with these new pumps?
