What the heck, I'll add my own comments.
Erie - 19 ft clearance
Rideau and Richelieu - 23 ft clearance
Champlain - 15.5 clearance
I'll add Skipper Bob's book on the Rideau and Richelieu. Very accurate about
land and water but less accurate about towns and cities. Things keep
changing.
I found Robertson's chart layout to be strange at first but got used to it.
It seems to start....somewhere. But you get the hang of it.
The NYS Canal Authority publishes it's own cruising guide too. I already had
several so I didn't buy one. Looked good.
Lake Champlain Publishing has a great guide and sells the "Waterproof" brand
of charts. Get very recent charts as the buoy numbers have changed since some
of the pages in Richardson's were printed. Glad we had other charts.
"Friends of the Rideau" were VERY accomodating in getting us all the Canadian
charts for our trip. Great folks.
Shameless plug dept: All of these folks have websites accessible from the
sidebar of "what I did on my summer vacation":

Ugly American Dept: The Canadian charts of Ontario are in English with French
subtitles and depths are mostly in meters. The charts of Quebec are only in
French and depths were usually in feet. Interesting but not a problem.
Different strokes for different folks. {8^)
