Bill,
Bless you, sir! I no longer have any test equipment and I've been dying to
do exactly what you did.
I suggest that it is not necessary to take the batteries out of service, but
simply move the desulphater from one 8D to another 8D in the bank on a
weekly basis. At present, I move between my other batteries weekly.

<snip> Alrid had written that several batteries would not allow the
conditioning
process to work because of the impedence in the connecting cables. To see
if this was true, tonight I put an oscilloscope on the batteries. With 5
batteries in parallel, and the BatteryMinder on the center one, I could not
detect a pulse of any kind on the battery furtherest from the BM unit. As
I went toward the BM unit the pulse became stronger. When tested with only
one battery, the pulse was much stronger. So, I guess the word from VDC
Electronics wasn't that good. Go figure! :) I just wasted two weeks with
5 batteries on line and didn't do much, if any, good for them. Switched
back to single battery at a time.
