I had one attached to my aluminum sport fisher, an Almar Sounder 24, in John
Wayne Marina, Sequim, WA for 5 years. During that time, I probably replaced
the alligator clips 10 times and my hull and motor zincs 7 or 8. When I sold
the boat the Grouper was smaller, but still looking like a fish. Connected
to the swim platform in my case. Marinas differ in degree of "hotness", but
my impression was it wasn't doing much good.
