    Well...my brilliant practice of using a Leatherman multi-tool for a boat knife...clearly hasn't inspired this tough crowd. Spot the cat didn't follow the suggestion to get off my lap either.

    FWIW...for those that eventually see the light...the newer Leatherman's and some of the other brands *come in models that offer easy one-hand opening of blades*. That's what we use on the boat...and is the real message of this post.

    Single purpose knives...bah humbug...Mossbacks... ;-)
