    This brings to mind a book written by a singlehanded sailor some years ago where he supposedly liked to sail nekkid except for his sheath knife just in case he fell overboard. He said he wanted to be able to cut his own throat if necessary. In other words, he liked to sail naked but wouldn't part with his knife.
