    Sonny,
     I have 2 units running on one pump.
    They are 14 yrs old. I too was concerned abt the pump running all the
    time. A friend who is a Cruisair dealer told me that to do what you
    want, pump runs ONLY when a compressor is on, is accomplished by
    moving one wire in the control box.
     I did not do it , but you may look into it.
    By the way I lived on brd for 5 yrs.
     I always turn the units off when I leave the boat for more than a few
    hours. Do you know how much water that pump can move in a day!
