    Sent to Marty Chin:

Enjoyed your help. Sad to see you go. I think we'd all be happy to see you
return when you have had time to consider your service to those of us who
did not create a ruckus over a mistake.

Here's one perspective: There are many hundreds of members on the list who
did not react offensively to the gentleman's mistake. Outside of the "TWL
officials," who did their duty, as patiently explained by Alex, how many
folks "piled on?" A couple maybe?

The list is NOT a place I expect such behavior, but the anonymity of this
medium IS a problem, and we should ALL learn to write emails to the list or
anywhere else as if we were sitting across the table from the person(s)
addressed (I plead guilty here). That said, strong opinions are a
by-product of long experience, and we all enjoy the sort of exchange that
engenders. I continue to enjoy the exchange of great information on the
list. However, as in life in general, I find it convenient to ignore some
of the less-than-pretty aspects you have pointed out to reap the benefits of
membership. I hope you might come around to that way of thinking.
