Re: David Stahls comunication on the subject. We're using a Motorola
dataphone with Sprint PCS. No coverage in the Bahamas - we had hoped to
check our AT&T phone which we also have - based on other correspondents
comments - but unfortunately dropped it over the side before leaving the
US! However other than the Bahamas the Sprint set up has been fine on
the East Coast and W. Coast FL. with easy internet connections - once
you get the dialer set up right with the correct domain names etc. Speed
is slow but Sprint is promising a fivefold increas in speed this year.
Price is reasonable - 6 months free web access, after that $10 per month
and $34.95 per month plus tax of course. This gets you 1500 min/month
but 1250 of those are nights after 8 and weekends - great for the web of
course.
I'd be very interested to hear whether AT&T One Rate works in the
Bahamas??
David - how are you doing with your Hatteras LRC? I can't tell you how
glad I am to have got rid of those Frams!
