    I routinely download by e-mail to my Palm V and my iBook from my Motorola
    cell phone (Verizon). A little tricky to set up on the Mac, but once done,
    it's faster than a modem to connect. The Palm setup is VERY simple...I am
    using MultiMail PRO software. Phone says 14.4 bps while at work and I have
    no reason to doubt it. Certainly fast enough for e-mail.

    Happy to provide details on cabling, etc.
