You can get the SOSPenders with the full harness, or without. Ours are
without as we are power boaters. Harnesses are generally reserved for
sailors.

We wanted our MOB retrieval system to be PFD independent. IOW we didn't
want to depend upon the fact that a MOB retrieval required a harness. The
LifeSling provides to extra flotation and the lifting harness. It isn't
just MOB from our boat we are considering.
