One other question: Don't SOSpenders have lifting harness
    capability?

There is a ring on mine for a harness attchment. The large plastic
buckle that connects the strap around you doesnt appear to be
strong enough to lift .I think the harness ring is just to help
    while still aboard.

Under my sos i also wear my switlick harness with that ring
sticking thru by the sos ring. That is why you would want the strap
to ride high.If you went overboard you would want the strap to be
pulling your head to the surface.Cant be to safe. Steve
