We have the Walbro in our just-completed system also, but haven't yet
accumulated the hours on the pump to testify to long term results.
FWIW, it't plumbed in AFTER the filter, so it's pulling clear fuel
out of the filter, not pushing dirty fuel to the filter. And although
it takes days of polishing to get a pretty clean tank of fuel, this is
because the clean stuff is sent back into the dirty tank, not because
the filter passes some gunk along. The Fuel coming out of the filter
looked immaculate when we installed ours.
