    I elected to replace my Frams one last time after installing the
    polishing system, and to leave them in place. I figure they will
    probably never need to be replaced again, since the GCF-filtered fuel
    should be immaculate when it arrives at the Frams, but they can serve
    to protect against any grit that may have gotten into the fuel lines
    after the GCF filter, and anything that might get in while I am
    changing filters, for example.

    I probably would not install them if they weren't there, but I didn't
    see any harm in leaving them (after putting new ones on) since they
    were already plumbed in to the system.
