    Frank,

Before proceeding down this path to far you may want to check out
insurance issues. When we bought Maņana there was a propane/AC powered
freezer mounted on the boat deck. Both insurance companies that I talked
to told me that any "full-time" propane system in a boat (i.e. a system
that ran all the time without human intervention) would not be allowed
under our insurance. The fact that the freezer was mounted on the boat
deck put it in a gray area. Perhaps Al Golden can clarify if I've
somehow misunderstood what I was told.
