Now, before anyone thinks I am trying to sell something, I am not. I am
trying to see if this is an overkill.
Mikron, a infrared thermometer supplier, has a unit that is accurate to 1%
and response time of 1.5 seconds. It is about half the size of something
all of us men are familiar with......TV REMOTE. This unit has a -50degrees
C to 500 degrees C range and operates off 4 AAA batteries and can be
operated up to 15 ft. away from target. It has dual laser beam targeting.
Now the bad news, it sells for $450.00. Do the other less expensive models
have these parameters.
