    Looking at the web site gives rise to the question - what is the max temp
    required for gas and diesel engines and their alternators? The one Frank
    purchased goes to 950 degrees F for $175. However, there is one that tops at
    500 degrees F for $80. Is the later model adequate for problem detection?
