I start my 120 ford with two 6 volt tractor batteries with out a problem. A
farm trractor has a rough enviroment for sure.I have room for two more in
the same case which maybe i`ll add next season. You all are starting to make
me worry.I`m not sure why you would worry about deep cycle unless you also
use them as house bank. My batteries were so cheap in price,i just dont use
them on the house side which i would rather not do anyway.
House side has 6 200 amp procraft and they stay the house only.
Generator has its own 12 volt and i think i have all the bases covered.
A point to remember, if you have n inverter, dont mix match batteries in the
    same bank. Steve

Tractor batteries are tough and much cheaper than marine use.Any farm supply
    store can help you.
