    A previous post indicated that partial closure of the fuel supply valve
    raised the vacume. That is a good way to test the gage. Another easy test is
    to close the supply line at the tank while the engine is running. When the
    vacume reaches about 15 in. shut down the engine and watch the gage. It
    should hold the vacume if you don't have a leak. This test can help locate a
    leak to one supply side and by closing other valves in different segments of
    the system pin down the area of the leak.
