If you're going to get a new FCC station license for your boat, be sure to
check every mode and frequency band and piece of equipment on the
application form (as well as request a digital ID), even if you don't think
you'll need every piece or even know what they are. The cost is about $100
for the license, but they last a long time. However, every change you make
to add a piece of equipment to your license will cost you $100. So get it
    all up front.
