When I bought our isolation transformer I really wanted to buy a Power Line
Conditioner. Several transformer companies sell them (Acme is the one I
looked at). These things not only isolate but they clean up power and
transform almost anything to anything (as long as it is single phase to
single phase). One big selling point is that you could run your inverters
through one of these and end up with a true sine wave (which, as you know,
requires a much more expensive inverter).

Cost put me off. Ten grand for a 15kva unit. Plus the thing is as big as a
small chest freezer and weighs 800lbs!

John, the biggest question in my mind is where are you going to pull 25 kva
off of a dock? 100 amp service and higher is pretty rare in the Pacific NW.
Is it available in your neck of the woods? Plus, the cord weighs a whole
    lot...

    Have fun shopping.
