I have storied one of my dinghies for a number of years, it is an Avon
Rover and gets used 1 year in five when it becomes the second dinghy on
our trips to the Bahamas. To store it, it is left partially inflated
after a good cleaning in the loft of the garage, out of the weather and
sun. Before the next long cruise a quick check over and it is ready to
    go.

As far as the outboards, I have stored motors over 5 years. Change the
gear case oil, clean the engine well, flush with fresh water, fog with
fogging oil into air intake and pull plugs and fog into each cyclinder.
Spay all fittings etc. with WD 40 and touch up with paint or wax as
appropriate. I also pull the motor over a couple of pulls every 6
months. When ready to use, fresh fuel and a couple of pulls and off you
    go.

    Good luck
