    The correct approach is "All are better then none. But not by much" I
    think it likey your primary defense is your own radar - and if you don't
    have one you are, at least part of the time, defenseless. Pray that the
    probabilities favor your cause.

    Nothing wrong with the probabilities - if you stay out of shipping lanes the
    probability of running into somebody is remote. Just make sure you make the
    proper sacrifice to the gods.
