    Steve,

"I am interested in installing a weather monitoring system on the boat and
wonder if anyone has had experience with the Davis Weather Monitor or the
    Speedtech Wireless Weather Station."

We installed a Davis on our Pilgrim 40 two years ago. Clamped the anemometer to the very top of the
mast, above the radar antenna, using metal hose clamps. Ran the wire down the inside of the mast
and than into the pilot house and to the steering station. Worked great. The Davis unit is
designed primarily for fixed, shore side locations so you must calibrate it with North being the bow
of your boat so all readings are then relative to the bow. You can select temperature in F or C and
wind speed in Kts, MPH or KPH. Helped me a lot when docking the boat to know the relative angle and
    speed of wind.
