Generally, when multiple a/C units are using one seawater pump the pump is
fed into amanifold (you can make it up out of plumbing parts), fed through
the a/c units, then the outputs from the a/c units go into another manifold
and overboard via one idscharge. I have 4 a/c units working off of one
    pump.

The pump must be large inough to suppply the water for ALL THE UNITS at
oncem even if only one is run, becuase regardles of how many are run, they
all get the water all the time.

So, if your pump is alrady big enough, you can do what you propose. If it
it marginal, you willhave to replace it with a bigger pump.

    To the List,

    Perhaps to Krogen Manatee Owners

I have 3673 that has a 16000 Btu a/c unit installed in the forward
    stateroom.
This unit cools and heats the boat adequately for the past 3 years. I plan
to spend more time down in the SW Fla. area and was planning to add an
additional 16000 Btu unit, same make, but with a digital control. Because I
plan to anchor more in the future, and my genet is only rated for 4.5 kW, I
would only be able to run only one A/C unit at a time, would it be "wrong"
    to
Tee off the existing water pump. I would like the 2nd unit to cool the area
that I choose, stateroom or salon. Now, If I were at a marina and
were to turn the two units on at the same time, would they "Starve" for
water? I am attempting to avoid having to haul and installed another thru
    hull, strainer and pump.

    Getting ready to cruise south,

    I thank the group
