It is perfectly true that you cannot "justify" the price of a fine sextant for navigating a small craft. But, if you have the money to spend, the pleasure of using it (or just
holding it) is worth something.
A davis Mk 3 will allow you to find Bermuda, or the Azores with no trouble.
