Weather fax software?

To all,
I'm teaching a Power Squadron weather course & a student has asked:
"I'm in the market for weather FAX software to go with
my SSB radio and laptop and wondered if you have had
any experience with this software?
The boating catalogs seem to have the Cortex Weather
FAX and the PC HF Facsimile.
The later is a little cheaper and seems to have similar features.
I understand the Cortex software is easier to use.
Any comments?"
How about some input from anyone with experience or knowledge on this please?
