Hi Brent - I'm not sure if anyone answered this question of yours (repeated
below) about reducing sights with Ho249.
Yes, it is used for reducing star sights after identifying and then shooting
the appropriate body/ies. It can obviously only be used with the bodies
listed and not for general reduction as in the case of the other volumes.
The Hc is used as with the other volumes of Ho249 (or Ho229) to find the
intercept. and Ho 249 gives Z directly (i.e. not just Zn) which requires no
further correction as with Ho229 or other volumes of Ho 249.
The reason why declinations are not mentioned are because they are already
incorporated into this volume to realise the tables. The appropriate
latitude and LHA has been calculated into the table as well to give the
specific Hc and Z's for the particular bodies.
