Leg 48:

1. DR 34deg 22.4' S 155deg 22.3' E by meridonal parts calculation. I
elected to use
the steered course of 89.1M or 103.6 T . Since a DR was asked for I did
not factor in
current

Last FIX was at 19:32:20 Zone Time (+10) or 9:32:20 GMT , adding the
10:57:58 to run the
95.5 miles gives 20:30:16. The date stays the same, 17 Feb 99.

2. DR now 34deg 33.7 S 155deg 54.7 E. Again, no current correction

3. New true course is 112.8 deg.

4. I think I need a FIX before I can calculate the Course made good.

5. I get a DR of 35deg 4.5' S 157deg 24.1 E.

6. I discarded Rigil Kentaurus because of the low sight ( lazy, too) and
came up with a
FIX of 35deg 00.2' S 156deg 59.6 E. (By calculator) This is 20.5 miles
and 282 deg.
from the DR position. I now get a course made good of 116.5deg T from
the #2 DR.

7. Seems to be Jupiter. (by calculator after a long wait)

Thanks for the nice problem.
