           Bill and Alex,
       A GPS Satellite signal is actually very weak and very
    easy to jam. It does't need to be from the save
    direction (wave theory) but rather as long as it's on the
    same frequency, emitting "noise" your reciever won't get the
    L1 or L2 carrier signal.
