    There's nothing wrong with sharing stuff with the list (even off-topic
    stuff), the problem was the poor judgment shown by e-mailing that huge
    attachment to everyone whether they were interested or not.

    As I mentioned earlier, a better way to handle it would be to post the
    file on a website and then just send a URL to the list. Those who are
    interested can go get the file, those who aren't can just delete the
    much smaller e-mail.
