Dear Carl,

As a contribution to the future discussion of this topic,
I would like to bring several things to everyone's attention.
1. On the loss of 1% or 2% of messages: if you don't get your message
back from the list within few minutes,
this indicates that it might be
lost. You can check by looking at the list archiv on the web,
and resend a message, if necessary.
2. Google list requires registration with Google, having
a password etc. (Personally, I hate these registrations and passwords,
some other people are indifferent).
3. Google list has advertising and our list does not.
4. No one knows what will Google do with the info you tell him
at the registration; it may sell it, for example to those who send
spam. It is true, webkahuna might make this too. But SO FAR it did not,
and the webkahuna list is already 10 years olf, btw.
Alex.
