Probably to ask the seller directly whether all parts of the arc are
readable. In this case the guy did not claim his ignorance,
so he had to answer the question with "yes" or "know".
On the other hand, I am not sure what can I do even if it is
evident that the seller lied to me. Probably one just has to
be ready to loose his money when betting on e-bay...
