I had no original opinion on that matter, except to think that it was UNLIKELY that when replaced the new lighthouse had been
shifted from one rock of that reef to another, seeing that a single rock was the dominant one, and was the only rock permanently
above sea level. Still, it was a conjecture that might have explained Sumner's placing of the lighthouse, so it needed to be
examined (if only to be dismissed, as it was).
In fact, the position Sumner assigned to the lighthouse is in very deep water, so there was no possibility of a lighthouse there.

I didn't consider the location of the Tuskar light to be in question, but can answer Bill's question, now having information from
the Lighthouse Encyclopaedia, 2003 edn, via my friend Ian Jackson. This places the Tuskar at 52deg 12'N, 6deg 12'W, where it was
first erected in 1815.
Those that will be travelling to Mystic in June will meet Ian, who is scheduled to speak about navigation of arctic whalers.
