Henry, the house my grandfather didn't buy around 1943 for $5000 would sell for
over 450,000 today. So all told, I suspect sextants have FALLEN in relative
price.
Depends on your price index, I suppose. Slice of pizza? Bus, subway or ferry
fare? (All a nickel or dime then, $2 now?) Price of a color television?<G>
